Settling In
It's been a few weeks since Ian and I moved into our new house. We're slowly settling in, unpacking the essentials and getting to know the house and our place in it.
(This is not our apartment, I just like the ivy.)
It's an old house and I feel like a bit of an intruder...but that's not exactly right. I feel like this house is...wondering about us, not quite sure if we are kindred spirits. But we are! Oh, I can just feel it! But there is much more settling to do before we both come to agree about that.
The one thing we have left to unpack is my studio. It's the room where all the miscellaneous boxes ended up. In the course of packing, I found so many unfinished projects. I'm excited to work on them, to finish them up and put them to good use. And I'd like to make a Liberty backpack for my walks to work.
But all that will have to wait until we make some more room, unpack some more boxes. I'm okay with waiting. I'm storing up inspiration and know it will come to good use.
