A giveaway!

I know I haven’t been blogging for very long and I don’t think I have many readers but I’d like to do a mini giveaway anyway.

crochet washcloths

I crocheted these dishcloths myself. They’re approximately 8” square, 100% cotton and have a cute picot edging. Each pair looks like this…

..one solid color and one variegated…both matching but opposite. The only pair that doesn’t have variegated is the pink green set. One dishcloth is pink with green edging and the other is green with pink edging.

Just leave a comment telling me your favorite set (click on the first and second picture to see the color notes on my flicker page) and I’ll pick one person at random to win it. Actually, I’ll probably pick a few people because, well, I like giving things away.

I’ll announce a winner on Sunday afternoon and I’ll need your address by Monday morning. I’m already going to the post office Monday afternoon and since I really hate going to the post office, I’d rather send out your gift while I’m there.

So, anyway, that’s it. Thanks for participating. I hope you win!

  1. Those are beautiful! I just started following your blog because I saw something on livejournal that linked me here, I think. But anyway, I really like what you do on here...your work is great and it gives me inspiration in my own projects!

I really like the green set the best!

  2. Thank you so much. What a wonderful compliment!

I started this blog as a way to inspire myself and, hopefully, others. Knowing that people other than my livejournal friends would read my words and see my pictures has pushed me to try harder. If I'm going to post nearly every day, I need to make things to post about. And if I'm going to put up pictures, they'd better be good pictures.

I'm learning a lot and trying to break old habits. So far it's been a lot of fun.

Thank you for reading and for commenting.

  6. Hi! Came to your blog to look at your fabric bookmarks and just had to tell you how adorable these are! I am just beginning to learn how to crochet and was wondering if these were from a pattern or if you made them up yourself? The green and blue cloths are so pretty!

  7. Hi! I did make the pattern up myself. The center is single crochet and the edging is picot. It was really trial and error to learn the border and it really helped me become a better crocheter.

And thanks! You can probably find the same yarn at your local craft store. It's Sugar N' Cream brand. They have lots of fun colors and I like to use it to practice new stitches. When I'm done practicing, I just tie it off and I have a new dishcloth!

Thanks for reading! I had no idea so many people found my blog from that lj post.
