Penny Patch

 

Another quilt I just HAD to make was the Penny Patch quilt, designed by Rachel from Stitched in Color.  She's a master of mixing fabrics with quilt patterns in new and interesting ways.  

And this quilt immediately caught my eye as a nice, easy quilt pattern that looked complicated and interesting, with plenty of options for really fun color combinations.

I was excited to work with colors a little bit outside my comfort zone.  Yellow, aqua, teal, navy, and gray...I absolutely love how this turned out.  It was a just a really nice quilt to make.
