Happy Memories

Another orphan block quilt!  This time most of the orphan blocks are mine!  There are a few from my quilty friends, but most of these are leftovers from my other quilts, or quilts that I started but never finished. 

There are two very special blocks in this quilt...on the pink side, the blocks to the left and right of the center Dresden plate are made with the first designer quilt fabric I ever bought: Sandi Henderson's Ginger Blossom line.  I sewed these blocks for no reason other than that the fabric was so pretty.  And they sat in my orphan block bin for over a decade, waiting for the right project.

There are a lot of great fabrics and memories in this quilt.  I just love how it came together!
