Batik Curves

This is another "orphan block" quilt.  I received these curvy batik blocks when I requested orphan blocks from my quilty friends.  It took me a while to figure out what these blocks wanted to be.  I decided to embrace the curves.

I wrote about the creative process here and here, so I won't go too much into it in this post.  But, I do want to say that looking back, this was a really great project to stretch my quilting skills.  I didn't have much experience with curvy piecing or quilting, but I loved learning both techniques in order to do this quilt justice.
